For many companies that are considering automating their work processes, information security is a major concern.
And with good reason.
It’s not just that robots may be assigned to store and use login credentials. For various types of businesses – including insurance and financial companies, among others – automating the processes with the greatest potential ROI can involve giving robots access to highly sensitive information such as customers’ credit card numbers, social security numbers, bank account numbers, records of financial transactions, and more. By declining to give robots access to these kinds of confidential information, enterprises can significantly reduce the benefit they stand to gain from RPA. Yet they also know that their customers’ confidence is a vital business asset that would be compromised if their sensitive information were to fall into the wrong hands.
That’s why our latest security milestone is so significant for our customers: We are happy to announce that Kryon recently achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. This means that we have independently been found to meet stringent requirements for information security laid out by ISO/IEC – a joint committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that sets international standards for the governance of information assets.
Kryon had already been certified for ISO/IEC 9001 (for controlling quality procedures). In addition, it is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Meeting these standards is especially important in light of our RPA solutions’ usefulness as tools for ensuring compliance with relevant rules, such as the regulations that govern the financial, healthcare, and insurance fields. Not only can all of our RPA solutions help companies prevent common human errors, but Kryon attended robots can be set to alert an employee anytime he or she violates a set of predefined rules. Now, our ISO/IEC 27001 certification adds a new level of security and reliability to our customers’ use of RPA to ensure compliance.
“At Kryon, we are committed to maintaining the highest level of information security in order to offer a premium RPA solution,” said our CEO, Harel Tayeb. “Meeting the standards set by ISO/IEC is an important achievement that reflects the value we place on the security of our customers’ sensitive data.”
To achieve this certification, Kryon successfully completed a comprehensive audit of our technical controls and IT security policies performed by BDO, a leading global financial and auditing firm.
The certification relates to every level of our information technology infrastructure. It covers both our cloud-based and on-premises offerings, as well as our other initiatives – including:
- Kryon Attended Automation
- Kryon Unattended Automation
- Kryon Hybrid Automation
- Kryon Process Discovery™
- Our research and development programs
- Our marketing and sales efforts
- The support, training, and professional services we offer
Most importantly, the level of security that we at Kryon offer our customers enhances the business value of RPA by empowering them to automate processes without needing to worry that sensitive information could be compromised.
That way, our customers can enjoy the benefits of RPA – including increasing productivity, cutting costs, and preventing errors – while maintaining the all-important trust of their own customers.
